Terroir:
The vineyards are located in Mezzolombardo, in the Campo Rotaliano area of Trentino-Alto Adige. The terroir consists of alluvial, gravel, and sandy soils, which contribute to the wine’s freshness and mineral character.
Viticulture:
The grapes are cultivated using biodynamic methods, emphasizing sustainability and natural practices. The vineyards are managed under pergola and guyot training systems.
Winemaking:
Lezèr is made primarily from Teroldego (78%) with other red grape varieties (22%). The wine was conceived after the 2017 hailstorm damaged 40% of the harvest, leading to an experimental vinification with short maceration processes. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is aged for four months in a mix of cement tanks, wooden barrels, and terracotta amphorae. This method preserves the vibrant fruit flavors and light body of the wine.
Tasting Notes:
"Lezèr" is known for its light, fresh profile with notes of red fruits such as strawberry, cherry, and raspberry. The wine is light-bodied, with a refreshing acidity and a slightly herbal finish. It is designed to be enjoyed young and is a perfect summer red.
