Terroir:
The grapes for this wine are grown in the heart of Crozes-Hermitage, near the site of Domaine des Lises in the commune of Beaumont Monteux. The vineyards are situated on gravel and sand-based terroir, which contributes to the wine's unique minerality and structure.
Viticulture:
Practicing organic viticulture, the vines are hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality grapes. The vineyards are managed without the use of herbicides, and the soil is regularly ploughed to encourage deep root growth.
Winemaking:
The winemaking process involves 80% de-stemming of the grapes and the use of indigenous yeasts for fermentation. The wine is aged in 6-year-old 40-hectoliter tronconique wood vats, which adds complexity without overpowering the fruit.
Tasting Notes:
This wine showcases mineral-accented dark fruit and floral aromas, with a hint of spicy black pepper. On the palate, it is fleshy and juicy, offering finely etched flavors of boysenberry, cherry, and floral pastilles. The wine is densely packed yet energetic, finishing with sharp clarity, smooth tannins, and strong persistence
