Terroir:
Envínate Benje Blanco is produced in the Ycoden-Daute-Isora region of Tenerife, Canary Islands. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 1000 meters, which provides a significant Atlantic and volcanic influence. The soil is volcanic, contributing to the wine's distinct mineral character.
Viticulture:
The vines are old and untrained, which enhances the wine's wild and unique personality. The viticulture practices are organic and sustainable, with no chemicals used. The grapes are hand-harvested from various parcels.
Winemaking:
The grapes are vinified separately in concrete tanks and open tubs. Approximately 75% of the fruit is directly pressed off the skins, while the remaining 25% undergoes skin maceration for 14-40 days. The wine is aged for 8 months in 60% concrete and 40% old French barriques on fine lees, without battonage and with no added sulfur.
Tasting Notes:
Envínate Benje Blanco showcases aromas of blossom, grapefruit, and flinty notes, combined with a zesty acidity. The palate is marked by its volcanic terroir with smoky nuances wrapped around a core of orchard fruit. The wine is high-toned and expressive, reflecting the unique environment of Tenerife
